Pre-Appointment Instructions:

  • 30 Days: Do not get Botox or fillers.

  • 14 Days: No sun tanning.

  • 7 Days: Keep lips exfoliated and moisturized.

  • 48 Hours: Do not take Aspirin.

  • 24-hours: Do not drink alcohol and caffeine.

During the procedure simulation with a needle, your skin may be affected which may activate the herpes virus. To prevent this, you are advised to take antiviral medicine 3 days before the procedure and 3 days after. If needed, you should consult with your GP.

Healing Process:

  • Day 1: Immediately after your procedure your lips may appear swollen and bright in colour. They might also be tender to touch. Every hour after treatment clean lips with provided solution and a cotton pad to remove any excess of lymph or pigment. No kissing, rubbing, spicy or hot food.

  • Day 2-3: Apply a thin layer of provided ointment on the lips once to twice a day to keep them moist. After every meal gently clean lips and pat dry.

  • Day 3-7: Lips will be dry and will start to peel. Colour will lighten by 30 to 50%, do not rub or pick on lips, let them peel naturally and keep applying ointment once a day.

  • Week 2: After your lips are done peeling the colour may appear pale and light, but do not panic, the healing process takes up to 6 weeks.

  • Week 4-6: Lips are healed now, time for a touch-up to complete the lip transformation.

Contradictions for pmu:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Allergies to topical anaesthetics.

  • Severe acne or Accutane treatment.

  • Untreated herpes or cold sores.

  • Lip fillers within the last 2 weeks.

  • Keloid scarring.

  • Facial psoriasis or eczema.

  • Autoimmune disease.

  • HIV and AIDS.
