What is Dark Lip Colour correction?

Dark lip colour correction technique was created for improvement discoloured lips or lips with intense dark spots, and mainly to achieve lighter colour on darker lips

Process of dark lip colour correction

  • Any lip colour correction is not going to happen during one session, especially very dark pigmented lips correction is a process correction of blush or purple lips is a very challenging task and takes time for achieving the best results.

  • First session- Neutralize At the first session we always choose the bright and warm color to neutralize darker areas and blend the colour of the lips. Depending on how dark and hyperpigmented the lips are it might take more than one neutralisation session.

  • Second session- Colorize For dark lip colour correction procedure there is no colour options, as the main goal to achieve lighter and gradually blended colour

Touch up for procedure is mandatory and advised to be done in 6-8 weeks, as the results after the first session are not final and always requires 1-2 sessions for colour improving.

Pre-Appointment Instructions:

  • 90 days prior, don’t have any lip fillers or injections

  • 28 days prior, don’t have botox

  • 7 days prior, don’t suntan (rather keep lips exfoliated and moist)

  • 48 hours prior, don’t take aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil (omega-3), CoQ10, or antiviral medication

  • 24 hours prior, don’t use alcohol or caffein

Aftercare Instructions:

  • Day One: 4 hours after the appointment, press a clean paper towel onto your lips (to remove lymph) and apply ointment as needed (to keep lips moist). Avoid kissing and rubbing the area.

  • Days One-three: Keep lips clean (rinse with water) and moist (keep applying ointment). Avoid spicy, seasoned foods.

  • Days Four-seven: Your lips will start to peel, keep them moist and let them peel naturally.

  • Week 2: Return to your normal routine, ensuring that your lips remain moist.

Contradictions for pmu:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Allergies to topical anaesthetics.

  • Severe acne or Accutane treatment.

  • Untreated herpes or cold sores.

  • Lip fillers within the last 2 weeks.

  • Keloid scarring.

  • Facial psoriasis or eczema.

  • Autoimmune disease.

  • HIV and AIDS.
